The Google Alerts alternative
for pages that change

Google Alerts tells you when something new about a keyword shows up in search. PageRadar tells you when a page you already know — a competitor's pricing, a regulator's rules, a careers page — actually changes. Pick the URL, and get the change in email, Telegram or Slack.

The difference

Two tools, two different questions

Google Alerts answers "is anyone on the web saying something new about X?". It runs your keyword against Google Search and emails you new results — as they happen, at most once a day or at most once a week. It depends on what Google has crawled and indexed, and it reports new results, not edits to pages it has already seen.

PageRadar answers "did this page change?". You give it the URL, it loads the page in a real browser on a schedule, compares it with the previous version and sends you what changed. It does not search the web, and it does not wait for Google.

🔍

Search results, not pages

An updated price, a reworded policy or a new line on a careers page is usually not a "new result", so Google Alerts may never mention it.

⏳

Indexing comes first

An alert can only fire after Google crawls and indexes the change. For a page you check because timing matters, that delay is the problem.

📬

Email or RSS only

Alerts arrive as an email digest or a feed. If your team lives in Slack or you want a phone notification, you need something else.

Side by side

Google Alerts vs PageRadar

Google Alerts details from its own settings: delivery by email or RSS, frequency as-it-happens, daily or weekly.

When Google Alerts is the better choice

If what you want is to hear about new mentions anywhere — your brand name, your own name, a topic, a news story — Google Alerts is the right tool, and it costs nothing. PageRadar does not crawl the web or watch news. It only watches the pages you give it. Most people who use PageRadar keep Google Alerts running too.

📣

Brand and name mentions

New articles, posts and pages that mention you, across sites you do not know about yet.

📰

Topic and news tracking

Fresh coverage of an industry, a company or an event, collected from Google Search and News.

🆓

Zero budget, no setup

Type a keyword, pick daily or weekly, done. Nothing to configure and no account limits.

When PageRadar fits

Pages Google Alerts
won't tell you about

💰

A competitor's pricing page

Plans, prices and limits change quietly on an existing page. PageRadar re-checks it and tells you which line moved — no new search result required.

⚖️

A regulator's or platform's rules

Guidance pages, terms of service and policy pages get edited in place. Watch the section that matters and get the exact wording that changed.

💼

A company's careers page

Job boards lag; the company's own page is first. Prompt "only when a new product designer role is listed" and ignore everything else.

📝

A changelog or release notes

Know the day a vendor ships the feature you are waiting for, or deprecates one you depend on.

🔑

A keyword appearing on one page

The Google Alerts habit, aimed at one URL: "notify me only when the word recall, sold out or registration open appears". The AI filter drops every other change.

How it works

Set up a page alert in a minute

1

Paste the URL

Any public page. Each check loads it in a real browser, so JavaScript-heavy sites work too. Some sites with enterprise bot protection block automated checks; the monitor then shows as Blocked rather than failing silently.

2

Narrow it down (optional)

Use the visual picker to watch one section — the price table, the job list, the policy paragraph — and add a plain-language prompt for what counts as a real change.

3

Choose where alerts go

Email on every plan; Telegram, Slack, signed webhooks and RSS from $7/mo. Each alert has a one-line summary at the top and a highlighted diff one click away.

Pricing

Free to start, priced for a few pages
